Udyog Aadhaar (now replaced by Udyam Registration) is a government registration for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India, which allows these businesses to receive various benefits and subsidies offered by the government.

Documents/Information Needed for Udyam Registration:

Aadhaar Card:
- For proprietors, the Aadhaar number of the proprietor.
- For partnerships, the Aadhaar of the managing partner.
- For companies and LLPs, the Aadhaar of the authorized signatory.

PAN Card (for enterprises registered as companies, LLPs, or others):
- PAN is mandatory for the registration process, especially for businesses falling under Small and Medium enterprises.

GSTIN (if applicable):
- GST registration is required for enterprises already registered under GST. However, for micro enterprises, it is not mandatory unless applicable under law.

Business Details:
- Name, type of organization (proprietorship, partnership, LLP, etc.), and address of the business.
- The National Industrial Classification (NIC) Code for the type of business activities (you can look this up in the NIC code directory).

- Business’s bank account number and IFSC code.

- The number of employees.
- The amount invested in plant, machinery, or equipment.
